Nah, no movie, i just thought her up. Her outfit is actual based on one of my old scrap sketches here on my account.

This is really neat. Are you using the type of programs/etc. that the big shots use to make movies like Finding Nemo and such? This seems like a basic version of that... like... you could animate it and such if you so desired. Anyhoo, looks neat. Nice work on it~!

Actually, she i had to rig the character. It's not a very good rig, but enough to get her in the pose i want. Modeling to a pose would be too difficult to do without one.

For this librarian image, i used 3ds Max 2009 (standard modeling software), but the people who did Finding Nemo, aka Pixar, has their own program that's a compilation of a whole bunch of 3d software. The original compilation software Pixar used i believe was called Renderman, i think. I know it starts with an R. And i THINK the name of the software they're using right now is called Marionet. It's they're own software that they're not giving away anytime soon. But i believe you can buy Renderman now because they're not using it anymore for they're main features. I'll have to talk to one of my animation professors about it.

About animating the character, it is rigged. I had to do a quick rigging on her in order to get that pose she's in. So yeah, i could animate her if i wanted ^__^

I got so lucky, our library threw out old books and i got 4 books on character design and animating rigging,and maya and whatnot including the cds Now i can read about it and learn it all!.. i just dont have a computer and the programs to actually do the stuff -_-

good for you that you got free books! That'll help you greatly! Sorry you don't have a PC. But just a standard computer with 2.5 ghz of RAM will do if you ever get the software.

Well I have a pc, I have... a notebook.. and 1.5 barely start the programs.
